NEFA tears it up at AM Worlds!

7/3/2010 by John Borelli

One word can describe NEFA's performance at this year's AM Worlds -- outstanding!

Congratulations to Nick Connell and Sandy Redd for tearing up the AM1 field and finishing tied for 8th and 21st, respectively. Nick shot a blazing 47 in the semi finals (tying teen superstar and eventual winner David Wiggins, Jr for the hot round) to finish -25 for the tournament, while Sandy finished an equally impressive -14. There were 194 golfers in their division. Amazing job, guys!

Advanced Master Bill Dunne also made the cut and finished a not-too-shabby 28th and +3 for the week. Way to go, Bill!

Several others of us played well enough to finish in the top half of our division and ended up cashing too. Nice.

Congrats to all who played and more importantly, finished with smiles on your faces. Next year, NEFA's going to rock Rochester!
