Homecoming Week in NH

9/24/2010 by John Borelli

This Saturday's NH States Hunt's Mean 18 in Rindge, NH acts as a homecoming for a good chunk of the players. There is a large group of longtime disc golf friends who play once a year and treat this tournament as their annual reunion. With camping, glow golf, and general good times, this tournament has taken on a life and mystique of its own over the years.

Rindge is one of New England's first courses and is located on a private wooded lot with a lake and a castle. It is only opened to the public for one week a year and the event usually sells out in record time.

For those of you who missed out this year, a new course has opened just down the road. John Britton is hosting his first event there on Sunday. Stop by and check it out. (more info)

I believe that John Britton's event will be held at the NEW Rindge course just down the road. He has 12 holes that play very nicely. He is NOT open to the public yet. I think he plans to open all 18 next summer.
